primitivepathways.com Learn how to make thin stone arrowheads. In this video, Billy Berger gives you an in-depth flintknapping lesson on how to set up your edges to drive long thinning flakes across the surface of your points so you can make flat, thin arrowheads. Making thin arrowheads isn't an absolute necessity, since thicker points are still deadly, being able to control the stone and create thin points is a good skill to have. Thicker stone points are stronger and more resistant to breakage. And thicker stone knives are more robust and can take more abuse. But thinner stone arrow points have less resistance to penetration. And being able to drive long flakes across an arrowhead is important when attempting to remove problem areas or thicker lumps.
