It is time for ONE HOT GINGER. It is Bourbon Hot Toddy but BETTER. My friends from Buffalo Trace Bourbon always look after me, so it is fair to return the favour with a dram. Today is an easy, hot Bourbon Cocktail to make at home this winter and keep cosy.
Put the kettle on, grab a bottle of Bourbon, and make the ONE HOT GINGER.

ONE HOT GINGER
- 45ml / 1.5oz Buffalo Trace Bourbon
- 22.5ml / .75oz Grand Marnier Liqueur
- 30ml / 1oz Winter Spice Syrup (see recipe below)
- 22.5ml / .75oz Lemon Juice
WINTER SPICE SYRUP
- 400gr White Sugar
- 200ml Water
- 1 Cinnamon Stick
- 50gr Fresh Ginger (grated)
- 1/2tsp Grated Nutmeg
- 3 Cloves
- Pinch of Cyanne Pepper
Boil the water, add the ingredients and simmer for 10 minutes. Remove from heat, cover and let it stay for 30 minutes. Use a fine mesh strainer or filter with a funnel to pour into a small bottle and refrigerate it for up to a week.
