This chapter will teach you the very basics of how to create Team Fortress 2 maps. By the end of this chapter, you will know how to create your first room and spawn into it in-game.

This episode will give you a basic tour of Hammer, along with a brief overview of the essential tools you use to create Team Fortress 2 Maps with the Source Engine. I also show you how open and filter the materials browser to view the textures available to you.
