How to make a simple ldr circuit ,here we use the ldr as a pull down resistor for the mosfet which is connected between source and gate to remove the static charge from the pull up resistor,when the ldr exposes to the light the resistance of ldr will drop significantly and remove the charge on the mosfet's gate and turn it off when the ldr is not exposed to light the resistance will increase ,that let the pull up resistor to put a charge on mosfet's gate and activate the circuit ,the drain pin of the mosfet is connected to a relay with to switch the load on and off
