We are finally making some Filipino Style Pork Adobo sports fans. We are going to be using spare ribs. Let's check out this awesome How to Make Pork Rib Adobo Recipe. This dish was everything we wanted. It was spicy, sweet, tangy and soooooo savory. You will definitely want to cook this so be sure to find the recipe and process below.
Pork Rib Adobo
4 lbs pork ribs
.75 cup cane vinegar (less if using regular)
1/3 cup soy
3 tbsp cane sugar (or reg brown sugar)
1 tsp ground black pepper
1 tbs grated ginger
3 smashed garlic cloves 3 fine chopped
1 tbs oil
1 yellow onion sliced
Red pepper flakes
2 bay leaves
Sliced green onions
Combine vinegar, soy, .5 sliced onion, 1.5 tbs sugar, pepper, ginger and smashed garlic
Pour over ribs and set aside in the fridge for 4 hrs to overnight
Allow ribs to drain and warm up
Add 1 tbs of oil in a pan and brown ribs
Save marinade
Remove browned ribs and add sliced onions to pan and cook for 5 min or until soft
Add garlic and cook one min
Add 1.5 tbs cane sugar, marinade, bay leaves and up to 1cup water/stock
Bring to boil then reduce to simmer and cook until ribs are tender (60-90 mins)
For a thicker sauce, remove tender ribs and reduce the liquid, adjust salt as necessary
Return ribs to sauce, garnish with green onions and serve
