In this video I show how to make Lembas or Waybread from the Lord of the Rings as well as Hardtack bread.
Lembas Bread Recipe

2 Cups (260 Grams) All Purpose Flour
1 Tsp (5 Grams) Baking Powder
1 Tsp (5 Grams) Salt
2 Tbsp (30 Grams) Butter
1 Tbsp (20 Grams) Honey
¾ Cup (180 Grams) Water
Mix all the ingredients together until a dough forms
Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes
Set the dough in an oiled bowl and cover, allowing to rest for 1 hour
Preheat your oven to 425°F or 220°C
On a lightly floured surface roll out the dough to a rectangle roughly 12 x 15 inches
Using a knife or a pizza cutter cut the dough into 3x3 inch squares
Space the squares out on a baking sheet and using a butter knife score diagonal cuts across the Lembas bread
Bake for 10 minutes
Remove from the oven and cool on a wire rack
Hardtack Recipe

2 Cups (260 Grams) All Purpose Flour
1 ½ Tsp (8 Grams) Salt
¾ Cup (180 Grams) Water
Preheat oven to 375℉ or 190℃
Mix Flour, Salt, and Water together in a bowl until a simple dough forms
Roll the dough out on a lightly floured surface to thickness of ⅓ inch
Cut the dough into 3x3 inch squares with a knife or pizza cutter
Space the squares out on a baking sheet and using a butter knife score diagonal cuts across each one
Using a fork poke a few holes into each square, this will keep them from puffing up too much
Place in the oven and bake for 1 hour flipping the hard tack once halfway through
After an hour take the hardtack out of the oven and cool completely on a wire rack
