This snow skin gluten free mooncake recipe is for those who are gluten intolerant or on a gluten-free diet, but still want to enjoy mooncakes on this Chinese holiday.
You can simply swap the tapioca starch back to wheat starch for regular snow skin mooncakes (冰皮月餅).
This recipe makes 10-20 mooncakes in each flavor.
The Mid-Autumn Festival, aka Mooncake Festival, is the second largest festival after the Lunar New Year in China. Making and sharing mooncakes is one of the hallmark traditions of this festival.
