How to make a DIY Rey's Leather Belt from Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Step by step guide for making your very own DIY Leather Belt perfect of Rey Cosplay from the Star Wars: The Force Awakens
This video will teach you how to craft a leather belt. This tutorial guides you through the process of selecting leather for a belt and then step by step shows you how to size and cut your vegetable tanned leather, apply leather dye and then backroll the leather to give it and aged look. Finally Levi talks about using a wax based finish to protect the leather. This was a leather belt custom designed for the use as a Rey Cosplay Costume piece. The video is loaded with info that will be useful even if you do not want to make this belt yourself. The video shows the process as I create a custom fitted leather belt to be used as costume for Cosplay. Some detailed hand sewing and some patterning tricks are also revealed in this build.
