The 5 Congruence Theorems
​When building a model, you typically demonstrate one or more of these five criteria that prove two triangles are congruent:

​SSS (Side-Side-Side): If all three sides of one triangle are equal in length to the three sides of another triangle, the triangles are congruent.
​SAS (Side-Angle-Side): If two sides and the included angle (the angle between them) of one triangle are equal to the corresponding parts of another triangle, they are congruent .
​ASA (Angle-Side-Angle): If two angles and the included side (the side between them) are equal to the corresponding parts of another triangle, they are congruent .
​AAS (Angle-Angle-Side): This is similar to ASA, but the equal side is not between the two angles; it is a side adjacent to one of them ].
​HL (Hypotenuse-Leg): This applies only to right-angled triangles. If the hypotenuse and one leg of a right triangle are equal to those of another right triangle, they are congruent.
