To make columns Google docs:
- Start with a blank document
- Go to Table, Insert table and select 2 by 1
- Paste your text on the table
- Highlight the end text, cut and paste it on the other column
- To remove the lines of the table, right click and go to Table properties
- Change the Table border to white
