Play Hooky with Me | How to Make Bernie's Mittens CROCHET style | FUN, FUNKY, EASY Mittens @PlayHookywithMe | Uploaded February 2021 | Updated October 2024, 37 minutes ago.
In this video, I share had to a make a fun and funky pair of mittens inspired by the lovely Bernie Sander's "Smittens".
These are quick and relatively simple mittens worked flatly and seamed together in the same spirit as Bernie's, except i'm doing it in Crochet. More info is under the time stamps on the real sweater mittens.
*Note If you want your tapestry crochet to look "cleaner" and closer to the graph design, I would recommend trying Intarsia Crochet instead of tapestry. (I've added links below the timestamps). Also, working this pattern in rounds would ensure that the tapestry is clean and defined. This is a more advanced technique but basically you are connecting all the pieces as you go instead of separate ones that you join later.
