A crafting tutorial on how to make an altar for your tabletop RPGs and wargaming terrain.
The terrain I make is generally aimed for use with TTRPGs like Dungeons & Dragons, but it could easily be used for any role-playing or tabletop wargaming; such as Pathfinder, Star Wars: Legion, and more!

FOAM CUTTING DIMENSIONS:
1 ea - 1 1/2 inch Circle
1 ea - 3/8 x 1 x 1 3/8 inch (back)
2 ea - 1/2 x 1/2 x 3/4 inch (front colomns)
2 ea - 1/2 x 1/2 x 1 3/8 inch (back colomns)
4 ea - 1/8 x 1/2 x 1/2 inch (small caps)
4 ea - 1/8 x 5/8 x 5/8 inch (large caps)
ALSO: 1/8 inch thick plane for hand cutting sides of steps
OPTIONAL: Thin Deorative Scalloped Foam for Facings

SUPPLIES YOU’LL NEED:
~ 1" XPS Foam
~ Hot Wire Cutter - you can cut the foam with a knife as well, but the hot wire cutter is much faster!
~ Ruler
~ Straight Pins
~ X-acto blade
~ Pencil
~ Aluminum Foil and/or assorted rock texture tools
~ PVA Glue (Elmer’s Glue All, etc)
~ ModPodge
~ Paintbrushes; Basecoat Brush and Dry Brush
~ Craft Paints - For this build I used: Folk Art Raw Sienna, DecoArt Light Mocha, and DecoArt Burnt Sienna
~ Fancy Pallette
~ Paper Towel
~ OPTIONAL: Matte Spray Varnish for a final protective coat
