Indulge me if you will on a combination of two things I greatly enjoy. Making something new and the stories of the Discworld, my favourite fantasy world, made up of practical witches, fanciful wizards, Temperate Vampires, and sensible young women who really do their research before they run away to join the army.
The book that inspired this is Monstrous Regiment by Terry Pratchett.
I have been fascinated by the idea of making coffee from acorns in times of deprivation and war, so I finally followed the process through to see if its worth it.
The lovely Borogravian Coffee label was drawn very kindly by Alex Scott.
I used these to blog posts as my reference on how to process the acorns

And for a more sensible approach to making Acorns into other things the wonderful Sally Pointer has some great videos on the subject
