This little basket gets its woven-look texture from a unique tucking technique, which makes the basket sturdy enough to stand up on its own.  

For this project, I used 1 skein of Red Heart Super Saver in Grey Heather with my Addi Express Kingsize Knitting Machine. My basket measures 5 1/2" high and 7" in diameter, but you could knit a longer tucked portion for a taller basket. The same technique can also be done on the Addi Express Professional Knitting Machine for a small basket.
