In this little tutorial I show you how you can create a working elevator in Minecraft 1.9 and 1.10! It's all done using command blocks, armor stands and boats!

This elevator only works like this in 1.9 and 1.10. For newer versions than that, you have to change the commands a bit, but the gist of it should stay the same.
