I was staring at an old pull out tape measure and came up with a creative use for it and made a whirligig wind generator turbine attached to a bike wheel. This wind powered turbine generator whirligig is easy to make and spins nice and gently in the wind due to the curved surfaces of the tape measure. Each fin can be adjusted easily for experimenting in the wind for the most efficiency. A great do it yourself whirligig project for students or whirligig wind enthusiasts.
