How To Make a Patty Melt | Juicy Cheesy Patty Melt Sandwich Recipe
INGREDIENTS:
PATTIES:
1 1/2 lbs. ground beef - 80-85%
1/8 tsp. salt plus to taste
1/8 tsp. black pepper plus to taste
sprinkle of garlic powder
2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
*Mix above ingredients lightly and form into patties.
Put some indents in center of patty with your fingers so the patty will
cook flat and not bubble.
On medium high heat pan add a couple Tbsp. butter and olive oil.
Place in patties and cook untouched for a couple minutes or until a nice
crust forms. Flip and cook on other side until done.
Remove and set to the side for 10 minutes.
CARAMELIZED ONIONS:
2 medium to large sliced yellow onions
Pinch of salt and black pepper
*On low med heat add a couple Tbsp. butter and 1 Tbsp. olive oil.
Add sliced onions. Cook and stir for about 30 minutes or until onions are
nice and caramelized. Add salt and black pepper at end.
OTHER INGREDIENTS:
Swiss cheese
Rye Bread
Butter
Mayonnaise
