We are diving into Adobe After Effects! Where better to start than the absolute basics? For today's tutorial, we'll be going to be making a super dope, glowing lightsaber duel using Adobe After Effects. This effect is inspired by all the really cool Star Wars movie action scenes I would watch as a kid. Surprisingly, the vfx for doing lightsabers is really easy and fun to do, which is also what After Effects is all about. This effect is a perfect technique for beginners because it goes over compositing and VFX techniques that translate really well to a bunch of projects. From using 3rd party plugins to fixing glitches in AE. I've been using After Effects for almost 10 years as a VFX artist and the effect you'll learn in this video will show you methods I use time and time again.
