In this sewing tutorial, I show TWO easy ways to lower bust darts on any sewing pattern & how to measure yourself. Includes my favorite method for working with vintage sewing patterns! Getting bust dart placement right is one of the most important fitting fixes for a better-fitting bodice or top. Learn these two great adjustments, perfect for sewing vintage OR modern patterns!
In this video I cover two methods, including my favorite for preserving fragile tissue patterns, and the more common box method that involves cutting your sewing pattern piece. I also show you two ways to measure yourself, so you know just how much to lower the darts. I also briefly mention how to raise bust darts, if needed.
