He wanted to keep the shadows deep but still readable for this scene.
So he used the💡Cinepeer C100 RGB with a deep blue hue to gently raise the ambient level across the cave walls — just enough to shape the space without flattening the mood.
To enhance the atmosphere, added a portable fog machine, which gave the beam texture and added depth to the space.
Then introduced a harsh yellow flashlight beam — it worked as a visual guide for the audience, cutting through the dark and pointing toward key moments.
Sometimes, it bounced off the stone and gave just enough light on the actor’s face — like a natural, motivated highlight.
This setup gave us depth, mood, and control — even in total darkness.🤩
