The Knight Family Motorsport Honda K24 Turbo powered KE70 Corolla is one mean little car!
With just under 600HP at the hubs this little stick shift Toyota is crazy fast and sounds insane when it's on boost!
This video originally set out to be a 3 port vs 4 port boost control solenoid comparison but after an unexpected boost spike at a low RPM causing higher than normal cylinder pressures something was going to give way.
In this case we were lucky that the Coolant pressure sensor did its job and caught the fault before it did any serious damage and we were able to replace the head gasket with a fresh one without having to machine any surfaces.
We're Modifying the exhaust manifold to accommodate a GFB EX44 Wastegate which will get done and bolted back on in a future episode, Kye is a busy man and doesn't get all that many chances to use his own dyno so once he's free we'll be back there with the camera and this time try to keep the gasket in one piece!
