This Brooklyn Tweed knitting tutorial will teach you to work the I-Cord Cast On, a decorative cast on which creates a lovely piped trim effect along the edge of your knitting. Use the I-Cord Cast On to cast on for any project to add a bit of extra polish.
Steps:
1. Cast on 3 stitches using a Long-Tail Cast On.
2. *Slip stitches to left needle, with working yarn in back. Keeping the first stitch firm but not tight for each row, knit the first stitch front and back, knit 2.
3. Repeat from * until there are 2 more stitches than the required number of cast on stitches on the right needle.
