Quick and easy knitted wash cloth with scrub off yarn to add a unique effect. Full tutorial for beginner knitters. Pattern below.
BERNAT SCRUB OFF WASH CLOTH
Level: Easy for beginners
Approx. 2.5 to 3.5 hrs to knit one wash cloth
Approx. 10” (25.4cm) square
Supplies:
- Bernat Handicrafter Scrub off yarn approx. 54 yds (49.5m) for 1 wash cloth
- 3 3/4mm (US 5) knitting needles
- Large eyed darning needle
- Scissors to cut yarn
K = knit P - purl
Instructions:
- Cast on 42 stitches
- Knit 5 rows
Row 1: K2, Purl to last 2 stitches, K2
Row 2: knit
Row 3: *K2,P2* repeat from *, K last 2 stitches
Row 4: K4, *P2,K2* repeat from *, Knit last 4 stitches
Repeat rows 1-4 until until work is about 1” less to form a square. Ending on row 4.
Knit 5 rows
Cast off and sew in ends
