This simple tutorial demonstrates how to knit the 1x1 broken rib pattern, and this same pattern can also be used for circular knitting (with the only difference being that 'rows' would become 'rounds' instead). I also provide the pattern for the symmetrical version of the pattern at the end of the video.
This is a knit and purl pattern, so is ideal for a beginner knitter. The result is quite a stretchy fabric with an even bumpy texture on the back and vertical stripes with seed stitch in between on the front.
