There was a huge fight in Scotland to try and get a new national park in Dumfries and Galloway. It divided the local community, both sides had involvement from outside the area. In this video I argue that in the end, it wasn't really the detail of the arguments that won or lost. But the more powerful forces behind the local campaigns and the public perception, more than the reality.
