This is how to install & remove the hook & loop backing pad on a Central Pneumatic 2 Inch Orbital Sander from Harbor Freight. It probably applies to other similar small orbital sanders as well. The instructions that came with tool are terrible, and don't even tell you how to do this that I could find. The backing pad screws on, but you need to use the tool that came with the sander, to hold the chuck in place, so you can actually screw the backing pad on. And also to remove the backing pad.
