This video is for people--including me--who do not install LVP frequently. I apply general carpentry tools and remodeling know-how that serve one purpose: To hedge my bets in case I've under thought one detail or another. It pays off in other projects and it paid off here. The floor turned out fine and I'd install LVP again. To that end, we touch on:
- Layout: No sliver cuts
- Crappy knee pads
- Floor prep,
- That you can totally scratch LVP
- Tools
- Additional underlayment, cushioning, insulation, vapor
- Avoiding voids
- That LVP is murder on carbide saw blades
- Notching techniques
- Trim details
