The u-shaped design enables the compressor to be outside and the air handler inside... in other words it's super quiet. Because of the smart inverter it's also very energy efficient. Another nice aspect is how this design provides more window view and light coming in, and if you want you can even open the window once installed. We're adding this AC as part of an emergency preparedness plan to be ready for a power outage since it doesn't use much power.
