Hello and Welcome to Korky Toilet repair.
Today we are going to install your new Korky red rubber seal. Before you install your new seal, confirm it is the correct replacement part for your toilet. Verify that your toilet model number is listed on the back of the seal packaging. If the part is not listed on the back of the packaging, please contact Korky at 1-800-528-3553. The toilet brand can usually be found between the toilet seat and the tank. Toilet model numbers are often stamped on the inside back wall of the tank.
The first step is to shut off the water supply to your toilet.
Next, flush your toilet. Now unhook or unchain the flush tower from the flush lever. Remove the refill tube from the flush tower.
Please note that not all flush towers can be removed the same way. In certain toilets a mounting cap must first be removed before the tower can be lifted off. Some towers and dual flush systems must be turned counterclockwise to unlock and then can be removed from the tank. Once the flush tower is out of the tank remove the old seal. The seal may be attached to the flush tower or the flush valve but all seals are installed the same way.
Stretch the seal over the tower and seat it in the groove. Now reinstall your flush tower. Reattach the refill tube. Reattach your chain or hook the lever back onto the flush tower. And turn your water supply on to complete your installation.
