DIY telescopic flagpole installation is easier than you think. I purchased this 25ft flagpole from ServiceFirstProducts.com (not sponsored), a veteran owned company. The kit came with a ground sleeve, 25 foot flag pole, American Flag and 4 carabiners with which to fly the flags. A trip to Lowes for the 50lb bag of quickset concrete and some draining rock rounds out the prerequisites for this project. Once the location was chosen, we dug down 30 inches, added 6 inches of drainage rock, then filled the whole 3/4 of the way with water. At that point we added the concrete and let it set for 30 minutes, before coming back and adding our residential flagpole to the ground sleeve.
I also added a solar powered LED light to the top of the flagpole which should illuminate the entire structure at night.
