OVERVIEW
Patterns often require increasing the number of stitches in a row. In this video we will show you how to increase a stitch with double crochet, by creating two double crochet in the next stitch. This technique is used in in the José Fringe Basket Crochet Kit and the Mayan Mini Pots Crochet Kit.
STEP-BY-STEP
1) To increase double crochet in the next stitch, start by inserting your hook.
2) Yarn over, pull through.
3) Yarn over and pull through the two loops on your hook.
4) Now into the same stitch, repeat the double crochet technique.
5) You’ve now added one stitch to the row.
And that’s how you increase a stitch in crochet!
