I was thrilled to see the buds appearing on my Warczewiczella discolor a few weeks ago and so here we are with a Christmas extravaganza looking at this lovely plant which is a first time bloomer for me! Warczewiczella discolor has a fairly broad range across Central and South America but often from higher altitudes which means it stands a good chance of loving my climate if I can keep it cool and moist enough in summer!
I bought this plant at the Autumn sale of the Orchid Species Society of Victoria: facebook.com/OSSV.Inc and it's worth trying to find local orchid groups in your area to find other orchid enthusiasts, learn how to grow plants in your conditions AND find great plants!
