This week viewers out of the chaos of my recent move a plant I accidentally gave all the right conditions to decided to bloom for the first time! Trichopilia tortilis is a fabulous intermediate grower which is inside all year for me and produces these interesting, large and quite beautiful flowers in late spring. And I bought this thinking I was buying Trichopilia fragrans which is the COOL | COLD grower! Heigh ho...I have both now so we'll have to wait and see if the colder cousin will bloom in autumn!
