This week Plant Lovers I was THRILLED to discover a single bloom on a plant of Dendrobium chapaense I've had for some time. It was a seedling that has just taken it's time to mature enough to bloom and as a species newly discovered in 2006 I'm happy it seems at home! Now it also goes by the name of Dendrobium jaintianum - just to confuse things and this Dendrobium comes from the Section Formosae which all have dark hairs along their canes. And in this video we'll compare Dendrobium chapaense with my example of Dendrobium victoriae-reginae which also happens to be in bloom!
