How to Get the Portra 400 Film Look Straight In Camera

Everyone loves the Portra 400 look. Soft highlights, lifted shadows, gentle contrast, muted greens, and that subtle glow that feels nostalgic.

This is how we get that look without presets, LUTs, or guessing in post.

The PolarPro Portra Filter is color tuned to emulate classic Portra film by physically shaping the light before it hits your sensor. It softens blues, slightly warms skin tones, mutes greens without killing them, and adds a white mist halation for that signature glow.

It also includes a built in chroma polarizer, so you can control reflections or leave them in depending on the scene.

This filter performs best in bright or mid day conditions where digital cameras usually struggle. It smooths harsh contrast, tames oversaturated colors, and gives you forgiving exposure behavior so what you see in camera is what you get.
