Need Access to a Purple Star but don't have them unlocked? Here's how!
⚠️ Save-Editing is dangerous and done at your own risk! ⚠️
Within your game files, there are a few short lines of text that can be changed within your save-editor of choice (GoatFungus or NomNom). Editing these values can instantly change how you play the game- by giving you full access to Purple Star Systems (:Portal3: or :Portal4: as the second glyph). To edit these, open your save-editor, select your game slot, and then "Edit Raw JSON".
The values are as follows:
"PurpleSystemsUnlocked":false
"HasDiscoveredPurpleSystems":false
"HasGalacticMapRequestAllPurples":false
“HasGalacticMapRequestFirstPurple”:false
By changing where it says "false" to read "true", you will have unlocked purple stars, all without completing the quest "In Stellar Multitudes, which would normally be required.
⚠️ Changing any other values without knowing what you're doing can lead to you potentially being unable to load your save, so BACK UP YOUR FILES BEFORE EDITING⚠️
To find your save files, if you are on Steam:
PC: C:\Users\[your_username]/AppData/Roaming/HelloGames/NMS/st_76561197975032661/*.hg
MacOS: ~/Library/Application Support/HelloGames/NMS/st_76561197975032661/
Xbox on PC: C:\Users\[your_username]\AppData\Local\Packages\HelloGames.NoMansSky\SystemAppData\wgs\
