Capturing stunning images of the night sky starts with square one: dialing in the focus. And while nailing focus may be easy during the day, your camera’s autofocus system may not work in the dark, so you may need to manually focus your lens.
In order to focus on the stars, you’ll need to use manual focus and the focus magnifier on your camera. Turn the focus ring until the stars appear as small as possible, take a test shot, and then you’re good to go!
