The most effective method to fix "System UI Not Responding" on a Samsung Galaxy is to restart your phone, clear the System UI cache, update your software and apps, remove problematic apps or widgets, and, if needed, reset your phone or perform a factory reset.
Step 1 — Restart Your Device
A simple restart can often resolve temporary glitches causing the error. Press and hold the Power button, select Restart, and wait for the device to reboot
Step 2 — Boot into Safe Mode
Safe Mode disables third-party apps, helping identify if an installed app is the cause:
Power off your device.
Press and hold the Power button until the Samsung logo appears.
Immediately hold down the Volume Down button until the device fully boots.
Observe if the error persists; if it stops, a third-party app may be responsible
Restart normally to exit Safe Mode.
Step 3 — Clear System UI Cache and Data
Temporary or corrupt cache files often trigger these errors:
Go to Settings Apps.
Tap the three-dot menu and select Show system apps.
Find System UI Storage Clear Cache.
If the issue continues, you may also Clear Data to reset UI preferences
Step 4 — Update Your Phone and Apps
Make sure your Samsung Galaxy and all installed apps are up to date:
Settings Software Update Download and Install.
Play Store Profile Manage Apps & Devices Update All
Step 5 — Remove Problematic Apps and Widgets
Uninstall apps installed around the time the error began.
Remove or reinstall home screen widgets that may conflict with the System UI
