Hello everyone, my channel is decor and diy related however, I recently experienced a leak from my refrigerator's ice maker water line. I was able to fix it on my own and thought it would be helpful to the average person without needing to to call a plumber.
The first step was to turn off my main water line to the kitchen to stop the leak. Then I looked behind the refrigerator to locate the portion of the hose the leak was coming from. We have a plastic line not copper which made it easier to find the leak.
I ran out and bought a 1/4 in outer diameter coupling and realized there was one already attached so all I needed to do was cut off the leaky portion of the hose and connect that to the already existing coupling. If you did not have a coupling attached you need to get one at a hardware store or Big Box store and connect it at the point where the you cut off the leaky portion. Its really an easy fix and takes very little time to do.
I am not a plumber, I am just an average mom and this was how I fixed the problem I can e across recently.
I hope this was helpful. Thank you for watching!
