You don’t need me to tell you that there’s a major mental-health crisis going on all over the world right now. We’re entering an unprecedented time of uncertainty, where now more than ever we’re stopping to ask, “what’s the point?” and that’s when the despair really sets in.
And while things look bleak, don’t get me wrong--I don’t think all the negativity around us is the whole picture; after all, there are still some young and broke homies of mine that are not only surviving, but thriving, and plenty of rich old white dudes who are absolutely miserable.
So if you’re like me, and you’re a young and broke homie who’s more concerned with being happy than being rich, what gives? What IS the whole picture, and what can we actually DO about it? In my opinion, the “what’s the point” question itself is at the root, and the only way to defeat it is to answer it.
