When adding a new device on your network the device is usually configured to get a IP address from a DHCP server. Usually after that you need to connect to the device using a web browser to configure it.
However to do that you need to know the IP address that has been assigned to it.
The most common way of doing this is by going to your DHCP server which for most home networks will be the ISP router and looking at the client address assignments.
What you are looking for is one with a long lease as that indicates that it has recently been assigned as it is likely the device you just added.
Once you have located it you can also assign a static address to the device which you will do if the device is a device that you need access to to manage using a web browser..
Devices like IP cameras,Smart switches are good candidates.
On my home network I currently assign static addresses to all my smart home devices.
