Finding fish on lakes you’ve never fished before can feel overwhelming—but tools like onX Fish make it a whole lot easier.
In this video, Mike heads out with Joel Nelson from onX Fish to show how anglers can use the OnX Fish app to locate fish on unfamiliar bodies of water. Instead of chasing reports, we use fishery survey data, lake maps, and structure analysis to identify lakes with big bluegill potential and narrow down where to start drilling holes.

Once we hit the lake, we combine what we learned from the app with structure analysis, sonar, and underwater cameras to confirm fish locations and adjust as they move.
