Antong Lucky, a former gang member turned social entrepreneur, is leveraging his unique perspective to tackle violence and crime in Dallas. In a surprising turn, he formed a partnership with the Dallas Police Department.

By finding common ground and focusing on shared goals, he managed to broker a peace treaty between rival gangs, the Bloods and the Crips. Then, he took a surprising next step to further improve community safety: he initiated direct conversations with the police department. Their guiding principle? “Lawlessness cannot be tolerated, wherever it's found.”

This innovative approach emphasizes the importance of viewing problems from different perspectives, challenging echo chambers, and continually striving for improvement. The outcome has been transformative, fostering a new era of cooperation, trust, and shared accountability, and inspiring a wider movement for change.
