Charlie DIYte (CharlieDIYte) | How to Find Cables in The Ceiling #shorts @CharlieDIYte | Uploaded 6 months ago | Updated 3 hours ago
How I used a cheap endoscope to find electric cables in my ceiling.
I bought it because although I had carefully marked where the cables were on a plan, if they're slightly out of reach of your fingers you literally don't know where they are. This happened and we had to take down a piece of plasterboard to find them, so I decided to buy an endoscope to solve the problem. It's been a lifesaver - my electrician has also bought one. It connects to your phone by WIFI even though it's also powered by a cable you plug into your phone - not sure why they need the WIFI, but you do NOT need to be on a WIFI network to use it. My electrician was wondering this (he's bought one) and so we switched off my wifi network and I was still able to connect it up.
This is the endoscope I bought geni.us/ZhIFp (Amazon)*
