Then if you plan to self-publish your children’s book, you’re gonna need to find someone who can help.
I have not written or self-published a children’s book, but I have helped several authors with this process and here are two amazing resources for illustrations:
facebook.com/groups/3240620214 - several groups like this one. Illustrators post examples, authors post work opportunities. Look at these postings closely to get a feel fro what you like, what style you want, and when you do post make the work descriptions VERY clear. How many pages, characters, etc. Some details may change but this gives the designers looking an idea if this is a fit for them. Also, specify in the post how you want them to pitch their services to you. A DM on Facebook or an email. If they can’t follow that first instruction, it’s a pass. You’ll get tons of replies and this helps to weed out some of the options.
1000 Story Books 1000storybooks.com This is the same team behind 100 Covers. They have a system for the story books and it works. You’ll still need to provide all the same details, but you know the price up front.
