This tutorial shows how to revert a Nintendo Switch back to factory settings (aka initialize). This is good if you are going to sell it to someone and don't want them to see your information or game progress.
If you want to reset the Switch due to an issue you are having, I recommend you do the more limited reset that does not involve deleting your game saves:
