Not every “lazy” horse needs more work.
When this horse started giving little crow hops, the goal wasn't to shut him down or run him into the ground. We simply redirected him forward and asked him to stay with us.
Once he gave us a clean lap without trying something unwanted, we left him alone and ended the session.
The lesson is simple: unwanted behavior creates more pressure, while cooperation creates relief.
If you want a horse to enjoy their job, teach them that trying with you is the easiest answer.
