I learned this little trick while working on my fiber arts degree waaaay back in the day. Here’s how to get rid of stubborn, deep creases in your fabric without pre-washing:
1. Mist water all over the fabric. Get it damp all over.
2. Massage the water into the fibers of the fabric. If you skip the massage some of those creases may still hang on. Unlike me, fabric has a great memory and working moisture into the fabric weave loosens the deep creases.
3. Iron on HOT. Continually move the iron around so you don’t scorch the fabric. If you got the fabric really wet it can be easily scorched.
