One of the early challenges in Subnautica 2 is that you're forever dying because you can't eat the food. The solution to this, apart from the rations, is the digestion adaptation, but it's easy to miss this one. Once you get it, you'll be able to catch fish and bring them back to the fabricator to turn them into food items that you can eat whenever, solving the whole how to eat food dilemma. Subnautica 2 is the new underwater open world survival game and once again, you'll need to collect resources, craft and survive the depths of the planet. The game doesn't really hold your hand too much along the way, so it's easy to miss things. However, with my Subnautica 2 guide videos, you should be able to make pretty good progress easily enough. As you progress, you'll unlock new features, like base building and new adaptations to give you at least a chance of survival. However, it'll all come down being able to stop the virus that's plaguing the human inhabitants of the island, so good luck to us all.
