I demonstrate an ingenious hack to double (or even triple) the capacity of a small solar generator for a fraction of the cost! I show you how to use a 480W 12V DC-to-24V DC converter to push nearly 100% of the energy from an external 1280Wh LiFePO4 battery (like the affordable Golden Mate) into a smaller unit, such as the Yonius Sappy 1600 [02:01]. This setup is cost-effective, saves hundreds of dollars compared to buying a larger generator, and allows the solar generator to function as a UPS while simultaneously drawing power from the external battery [03:09].
